Join us for the Celebrate Veterans 5K on Sunday, November 15th in Tacoma as we come together to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. ❤️💙

And this year, we're proud to once again partner with Project Recover, an organization dedicated to locating and bringing home American service members who are still missing in action.

Approximately 81,000 service members remain unaccounted for.

That's why this isn't just a 5K.

It's a chance to run, walk, remember, and show your support for those who served—and for the families who are still waiting for answers.

Don’t underestimate the power of an easy run! 💡

It can be tempting to push the pace every time you head out, but easy runs help build your aerobic fitness, support recovery, and allow you to stay consistent without constantly running on tired legs.

And with the 3-day weekend coming up, it’s a great opportunity to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and make your run about more than just the miles. Explore a new route, run with a friend, or simply enjoy some time outdoors. ☀️👟

🏔️🌲 READY TO HIT THE TRAILS? 🌲🏔️

The Coal Mine Trail Run 10K & 15K is coming up on Saturday, September 19th — and this one is all about adventure, beautiful Central Washington scenery, and putting a little dirt under your shoes! 👟🔥

📍 Wye Park – Cle Elum, WA
📅 Saturday, September 19, 2026
⏰ 8:30 AM Start
🏃 10K (6.2 miles) OR 15K (9.3 miles)
⏱️ 3-Hour Time Limit

🌲 WHAT TO EXPECT:
This is a moderately challenging trail course that takes you from Wye Park toward historic Roslyn, through the beautiful Urban Forest, and back toward Cle Elum.

That means you get:
⛰️ Hills & elevation
🌲 Forest trails
🏃‍♀️ A mix of running, jogging & walking
💪 A great challenge without having to be a speed demon
📸 Plenty of scenery along the way!

NEW TO TRAIL RUNNING? 🙌
Don't let the word "trail" scare you! You can run, jog, walk, or use a run/walk strategy. The goal is to get out there, enjoy the course and finish strong. ❤️

💧 IMPORTANT: This is a cupless event, so bring your own hydration bottle, handheld, hydration vest or reusable cup. Water/refill stations will be available along the course.

👟 TRAIL TIP: Wear shoes with good traction and don't show up in brand-new shoes! Practice on some hills before race day and remember that the downhill can be just as challenging as the climb.

🍌 FUELING TIP: Eat a familiar breakfast before the race, hydrate well, and if you're doing the 15K or expect to be out on the course for a while, consider carrying a familiar source of fuel.

Whether you're chasing a PR, tackling your first trail race, training for something bigger, or simply looking for a beautiful Saturday morning adventure…
