🏆 3rd Annual Ohop Throwdown!! 🏆 This tournament will be run as a BYOP (Bring Your Own Partner) format, starting with 4 round-robin games to determine division placement. 💲 Buy-in: $20 per player / $40 per team All proceeds go directly toward supporting our community. Last year, we raised a great amount for the Ohop Lake Fireworks Show, and we’re hoping to do the same again this year! Eatonville is an amazing town, and we love any chance to give back—especially for something as fun and memorable as the lake fireworks show. Please note: there will be no cash payouts. Instead, Impressive Trophies and Awards will once again be providing awesome championship chains for our first-place teams! 🏅 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 We will also be doing a patriotic costume contest too. The winner will win a trophy for being the most patriotic or most creative with theRed, White, & Blue. The idea is to have some fun and have everyone come decked out in MERICA stuff 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 For updates and more details as we get closer, check out the OhopRidge Christmas Tree page. League divisions are posted! Please review and let me know what you think.

Happy to review and make adjustments if you think the matchups during the Swiss maybe weren’t fair and you ended in a division you don’t think you should be in.

We have had some people mention that they haven’t been happy with the division split and level of competition.

We have a Swiss on night one to help even this out. We also are going to create as many divisions as we need too to split up the groups fairly. (Within reason, as we can’t have one division with 3-4 teams)

I’m open to all the suggestions and solutions you guys have. When posting a league it’s hard to say exactly how things will be split because I don’t know who will be signing up yet. From the way it looks now, we would do upper and lower. If more people register and the completion level is more spread out we may need Open, Advanced, Comp and Intermediate. But until we see the registrations it’s fluid.

As a reminder, we do this as a hobby, we can’t please everyone but we try our best make it fun and fair.

We need to bring a certain level of support to the Elks to make this worth it for all, so this may be our last league depending on how things go. We had a recent sit down with the Elks and are working through some challenges. Bringing a packed house of fun people will help with some of those challenges - but I need your help to reach out if you think format should be updated if that’s what is holding you back from signing up.

Attn: League Starts tomorrow

I (Rachelle) won’t be there tomorrow because we have a baseball game for Kinsley. Jason will be an alone to get lines taped on the floor, boards set up and checking people in.

If anyone is available to drop in a bit early to help with setup we have airmail tickets for you!

Ruben will be bringing 5 sets of boards for courts 1-5- and then we will be using the normal 253 boards for 7 courts.
