Good luck to Malachi and Micah Pettis this week as they represent Team Washington on the 16U National Dual Team in Farmington, Utah! Micah will be competing at 94 pounds and Malachi at 126 pounds in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman, taking on some of the best wrestlers from across the country.

What an incredible opportunity for Malachi and Micah to test themselves against some of the nation's top wrestlers. We're excited to follow their journey and cheer them on throughout the week.

Please join us in welcoming Justin Pritchard as the new Girls Head Coach for Sumner Wrestling!

Coach Pritchard brings a strong wrestling background and passion for developing athletes both on and off the mat. A graduate of Auburn Riverside High School, Justin continued his wrestling career at Evergreen State College and has coached throughout the Auburn School District.

We are excited for the leadership, energy, and experience he brings to our program and cannot wait to see the impact he will make with our girls wrestling team. Welcome to the Spartan family, Coach Pritchard! GO SPARTS!

Fun weekend at Riverview Bible Camp in Cusick, Wa at the National Team Camp. Great work Maisie, Micha, Malachi, and Hoyt for putting in the extra work this weekend preparing for National Duals and Fargo.

US OPEN RESULTS

Our Sumner wrestlers were at it again! Results from the US Open in Las Vegas this past weekend, so proud of the continued work. This was a tough tournament, and we’re proud of you all for putting it on the line and finishing strong.

Maisie Elliott - Girls HS 100 Freestyle: 2nd place
Saige McCleery - Girls HS 140 Freestyle: 6th place
Hoyt Harshman - battled in two brackets (U17 Greco/Freestyle 55kg), going 3-2 in both styles

Huge congrats to our girls competing at the US Open in Las Vegas!

Saige McCleery is battling in the Girls High School division at 140 lbs and will be wrestling for 5th place.

Maisie Elliott is also representing in the Girls High School division at 100 lbs and will be wrestling in the finals for 1st place!

Congrats to Kaiden Reedy! He’ll be heading to Washington State University this fall to continue his education and wrestling career.
