A SEASON OF HARD WORK. A TRIP TO FARGO. πΊπΈ
As the 2026 USMC Junior & 16U National Championships come to a close, we want to recognize three outstanding young men:
Hoyt Harshman
Malachi Pettis
Micah Pettis
Competing at Fargo isn't something that happens by chance, itβs earned.
Over the past year, these three have committed themselves to the process of becoming better wrestlers every single day. They trained alongside their Sumner teammates, put in extra work with local wrestling clubs, competed year-round, and continued to push themselves through every opportunity to improve.
Their success came from the habits built behind the scenes, the extra training sessions, the early mornings, the travel, the discipline with nutrition, conditioning, and recovery, and the sacrifices required to compete at the highest level.
Fargo is one of the toughest and most prestigious wrestling tournaments in the country, and earning the opportunity to compete on that stage is a tremendous accomplishment.
We are incredibly proud of the way Hoyt, Malachi, and Micah represented themselves, their families, their coaches, their clubs, and Sumner Wrestling on the national stage.
Congratulations on an incredible achievement. The work, dedication, and commitment youβve shown are what make you true Spartans.
Go Spartans! π
