Here's a good example of why custom rods are a better choice than off-the-shelf factory built rods. The customer had a specific action and length in mind for a particular technique. This is a drop shot rod made from a 6'10" blank cut to 6'9". What make this better than a mass produced rod? The blank is splined correctly, something that occurs only by chance with all of the factory rods I've tested, not by intention. This is internally balanced to zero fore and aft at your hand while fishing. Not supporting the weight of blank while you're trying to detect a bite is essential to sensitivity. The guides are place under static load, no factory does this in standard production. It provides the best possible action from any blank. The cork is polymer sealed, providing much longer life and improving grip and feel. All components, colors and graphics can chosen by the customer, try that when ordering a St. Something or G. Somebody rod. An extra bonus, this rod is at least 10% less than it's nearest big name competitor. Of course, the choice is yours. I hope everyone has a great fishing season! Tight lines to all!
