Summertown Upward Soccer League

Soccer practices start this week.

Shin guards are required for practices and games.
Players may wear tennis shoes or cleats.

Park in gravel lot or church lot. Please note that a family now lives in house by soccer fields so please do not pull into driveway or yard.

There will not be a bathroom available for practices. Once games start, there will be bathrooms available on game days.

Need PreK-Kindergarten Coaches!!!! Just 1 more - or grab a friend and coach together. Or ask your kids aunts or uncles to coach since they will be at all the games anyway 🤣

Soccer sign ups are over and we have 89 kids ready to play, but we need PreK-Kindergarten coaches to make that happen.

Our coaches assist the kids on the field, encouraging them to go in the right direction. They also help them throw the ball in and kick from goal or start line when needed. There are no goalies or true positions at this age, just fun running around. A coaches book and online resources give you skills to practice, but we always love a good game of red light-green light.

Practices are 1 hour a week and you can set the day and time. Games are 1 hour on Saturday mornings.

Coaches needed!

We need 3 more coaches to have our soccer league.

PreK-Kindergarten teams - four or five players per team, lots of fun. They just want to play and have fun. A good game of Red light-Green light is a fun way to teach dribbling skills. Or try Follow the leader.

Upwards gives you a coaching book and online resources. No goalies or true positions in this age group so just focus on kicking ball toeard the goal.

Saturday August 8, 2026 from 9 am to 12 noon.
Kids should wear shoes they can run in.

Soccer sign ups and skill drills start next week!!
Come anytime between 3pm and 6pm Thurs Aug 6 or 9am and noon on Saturday Aug 8. The kids/youth will do running and kicking drills while the parents/guardians get to do paperwork. Cash or check only accepted at in-person sign ups.
