Our girls brought home some bling this weekend! It was a long day and they had their ups and their downs but overall we are super proud of how they came together and executed! We had to fight our way back through the losers bracket and won the first game in the championship and had to play 2 international tie breakers after being at the field for 15 hours and ultimately came up short to a very good vortex team! These girls showed some grit and started to play together as a team this weekend and for that we are extremely proud!!

We are so proud of these girls! They went 1-1 in pool play and 4-0 in bracket play coming home as silver bracket champions!! They played with heart and they played for each other. We have been working hard on our resiliency and it showed yesterday. In the past our girls would get so defeated when getting a hit and getting thrown out even though they moved runners around and got players home. Yesterday I saw excitement when they brought their team mates in and got out! These girls continue get better every week!

Summertown Heat is headed to the silver bracket championship!!! They went 1-1 in pool play and just fell short of the gold bracket. They battled back and have been undefeated in bracket play going 3-0! Let’s finish it out girls!
