Two days only — Wednesday and Thursday before the regular season opens. Recreational divers can pull spiny lobster a week before the commercial fleet starts. The Lower Keys sit in the heart of the territory; a daily dive trip during mini-season usually fills the bag limit.

💡 REEF & NATURE
🐠 The Key deer that wander Big Pine and No Name Key are a miniature subspecies of white-tailed deer; full-grown adults stand only about thigh-high to a person. Fewer than 1,000 are left, all within a few miles of the resort, and they are protected enough that speed limits drop at dusk just to keep them safe. Slow down after dark out here and you will usually spot a few.
