🌅🔥 Tuesday Night Pickleball Is Here... and It Was a HUGE Success! 🔥🌅

The Tournament Club in The Villages kicked off its very first Tuesday Evening Tournament, and what an incredible night it was! 🎉

As the sun began to set and temperatures cooled, players enjoyed ideal conditions for some outstanding pickleball. 🌇 The cooler weather was welcomed by everyone, and it showed in the level of competition throughout the evening!

🏆 4.0 - 4.5 Division

This division was an absolute dogfight! Nearly 90% of the matches ended 11-9, with point after point being fiercely contested. In the end, Ron Parsons and Stephen Bussey joined forces in the finals and emerged as champions! 💪🏆

🏆 3.5 - 4.0 Division

The competition was just as intense in this division. Continuing his winning streak, Dan Scheer captured his second consecutive tournament victory, this time teaming up with newcomer Christopher Burns to take home the title! 🎉👏

🏆 3.0 - 3.5 Division

As usual, this was the largest division of the night and featured tremendous competition from start to finish. When the dust settled, John Patton and Ted Abelson rose to the top and claimed the championship! 🏆⭐

🏆 2.5 - 3.0 Division

Laurie Peaslee was dominant all evening, going undefeated through tournament play! She then teamed up with Heath Abelson in the finals to complete a perfect night and secure the victory! 🌟🏆

🌅 The combination of cooler temperatures, beautiful sunset views, and highly competitive matches made this a memorable first Tuesday evening event. Based on the feedback from players, it looks like evening tournaments are going to be a tremendous addition to our schedule!

📅 The next Tuesday evening tournament will be held July 7th, as the Tournament Club will be taking a short break while I am in Connecticut visiting family.

⚠️ Be sure to register early when registration opens. If this week's turnout is any indication, these events are going to fill quickly!

🔥 WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF TUESDAY TOURNAMENTS! 🔥

The Tournament Club held its first Tuesday afternoon tournament today... and also its last! 😂☀️

Starting next Tuesday and throughout the summer, we'll be moving to Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM 🌅

While the player turnout was a little light today, the competition was anything but! 💪🔥

The paddles were popping, the rallies were flying, and the smiles were everywhere. 😃

We were able to run three exciting tournaments:

🏆 3.0 - 3.5 Division Coach Hal Whiting and Chris Donohue jumped out to an early lead in the finals and never looked back, cruising to the championship! 👏🎉

🏆 3.5 - 4.0 Division Dan Shear and Andy Harris battled their way through a competitive field and captured the title with some outstanding teamwork and shot-making! 💥

🏆 4.0 - 4.5 Division Gary Jones and Pete Zemitis outlasted their opponents in the blazing afternoon heat, showing grit, determination, and plenty of skill on their way to the championship! 🌞🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and competed today. Whether you were smashing winners, chasing lobs, or grinding through long rallies, you helped make it a fantastic afternoon of pickleball! ❤️

📅 Reminder: Beginning next week, all Tournament Club events move to Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM for the summer. Cooler temperatures, great competition, and plenty of fun await! 🌅😎

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I need to cancel the tournaments on June 23rd and June 30th. I have 6 grandbabies in Connecticut who are excited to see Grandpa, so I'll be taking a quick family trip! ✈🥰

The good news is we'll be back on the courts in July, with tournaments continuing on Tuesday nights at 6:00 PM.

The Tournament Club is moving all tournaments to Tuesdays at 6:00 PM through the beginning of August.

🗓 The Tuesday evening tournaments will begin on June 16th.

⚠ Please Note: There may be occasional pop-up Saturday tournaments announced on short notice.

🏆 TOURNAMENT CLUB UPDATE! 🏆

What a fantastic day of pickleball as we wrapped up our last Saturday Tournament for the next few weeks! ☀️🔥

📅 Looking Ahead:

The next few tournaments will be held on Tuesdays, and I'm considering moving most summer tournaments to Tuesday evenings at 6:00 PM 🌅

🏅 Today's Tournament Highlights

🔥 3.0 - 3.5 Division What an absolute battle in the finals! Eric Jones and Dave Babler fought through an epic championship match, pulling out a thrilling 17-15 victory! 👏💪

🔥 3.5 - 4.0 Division Joann Link and Kevin Koch brought their A-game and powered their way to the championship! 🏆🎉

🔥 4.0 - 4.5 Division The highest division delivered incredible rallies, intense competition, and nonstop action! In the end, Gary Jones and Chris Eversole rose to the occasion and captured the title! 👏🏅

🙌 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and competed today. Your energy, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit make these tournaments so much fun!
