Do you have some clubs in your bag that you carry and do not use? Is that because you do not like how they perform for you? I fell into the same trap, where I only used seven or eight clubs in my bag. We paid for the set, we might as well learn to use them properly. So I tried playing a couple of rounds using the forgotten clubs. I'm glad I did. I now have a different game to play, and I'm really looking forward to it. Try new things this year. Happy New Year! Locking any joint during a swing is terrible. It can cause you to hit the ground before the ball, It can make you top the ball because it alters your height. For example, if your trail knee unlocks during the downswing, it alters your path and can open your club face. As shown in the photo above) But this is not limited to your knee, and a locked joint can be detrimental to your swing. If you lock your elbow, you get no release at the bottom of the swing. If you lock your wrists, you get no hinge at the top of your back swing. With that said, the good news is that you can fix it if you are aware of it.
