If everyone can check your bags we are missing a lot of balls (3 brand new balls from last night) Kevin Meza Salvador ! We are going to try and get up to the fields early one day and look through the woods but these are all the balls we have right now so total we are missing 7 mens balls. Ladies yall are doing great we havent lost any ;) thank you everyone! I'll post standing as well today. And get games updated for next week

Pitchers and Coaches we are going to be more strict about the pitching net rules. Brody Clark Ale Rosales Chris Bullard Joe Penny Kevin Meza Salvador Mia Pharis Kidman Norfleet

IT IS NOT A DEFENDER.

Here is how the rule is written please understand the net is optional but if you are going to use the net you need to use these rules as well.

9. Pitching Screen
UPDATE RULE FOR 2023: Pitcher’s will need to wear pitching helmets at any national event.
(**IM ENFORCING THIS RULE FOR OUR LEAGUE IF THE PITCHER DOESN'T WANT TO USE THE PITCHING NET**)
This does not have to be the full helmet; a face mask will be fine as well.
IF the net is used by a pitcher, it cannot be touched /knocked down by any defensive player. If the ball strikes the net when a defensive player has thrown the ball; it is part of the field and a live ball until the umpire calls time.
A. It is not mandatory in any division to utilize pitching screen
B. Teams may optionally use a pitching screen. The intention of the screen is to offer protection for the pitcher; however, the pitcher is not required to get behind the screen. The decision is entirely up to the pitcher whether to use the additional protection or not.
C. Each team may decide at the Pregame meeting whether they choose to use the pitching screen or not. This decision is for the entire game, even if there is a pitching change. If one team uses the screen and the other does not, the team using the screen is responsible for removing it from the field of play and putting it back in position at the end/beginning of each inning.
D. The screen must be in contact with the pitching rubber when each pitch is released. If a pitched ball hits the screen, it will be declared a ball.
E. If a batted ball hits the pitching screen, it is considered a foul ball.
F. If a batted ball hits the pitching screen on strike 3, the batter is out.
G. IF the pitching screen is used, the pitcher is NOT allowed to field a batted ball.
Exception: A POP- UP. (Definition: a ball that would be called an infield fly IF the infield fly rule were in effect. The Infield Fly rule does not have to be in effect for the Pitcher to field a Pop-Up. That is only used to determine whether the batted ball was a Pop-Up).
H. Pitcher must toe the rubber, when using the screen.
I. Pitchers can enter play after another defender has touched the ball first.
