Lord, I pray that You would guide and protect each player throughout this season. Keep them safe from injury and give them strength, endurance, discipline, and confidence. When they experience success, help them remain humble. When they face disappointment or defeat, remind them that their worth is not found in a scoreboard, but in You. Help them be encouraging teammates who build one another up, show respect, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and lead by example.
I pray for our coaches. Give them wisdom as they lead, patience when challenges arise, and discernment in every decision they make. Help them be positive role models who develop not only better athletes, but young people of strong character and faith.
We place all of our teams, our coaches, and this entire season in Your hands. Protect them, guide them, strengthen them, and remind them that they never play alone. May everything that happens on and off the field bring honor and glory to You.
