SCPL’s Campground Wide Yard Sales are less than TWO WEEKS away!

If you want your campsite included on the official yard sale map, now’s the time to get signed up. It’s just $5 to have your site added to the list shoppers will be using all morning long.

The Illinois Horse Pullers Association is coming to Sullivan County Park & Lake THIS Saturday, May 16 at 1 PM!

Head back by G Campground for an afternoon full of tradition, teamwork, and incredible horsepower. Teams from across the region will be competing in this impressive display of strength, and if you’ve never seen a horse pull before, this is your chance.

Bring the family, invite your friends, and come enjoy a unique event at the lake this weekend. Life is Better at Sullivan Lake.

Announcing the 4th campsite LOTTERY!
The following campsites will be drawn for at noon on Wednesday, May 13th. The following campsites are up for lottery: AA-5, A-16, D-10, D-11, G-39, SR-6, SR-10, LL-4, PV-42, & DV-3.
If you are interested, please call the Office at 812-268-5537, between now and 11:45 am tomorrow, and ask to have your name added to the lottery list. We do not accept texts, messages, voicemails or emails and the list does not carry over to the next lottery. Do not call the gatehouse. If your name is drawn, and you change your mind and back out, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee. Campsites are $350 per month and that includes your water and electric. In addition, you will need to purchase an annual entrance if you haven't already purchased one. Payment is expected in full upon winning of lottery. Good luck!

What a beautiful weekend at the lake! 💐🌼

A huge THANK YOU to the Friends of the Sullivan County Park & Lake for putting together such a wonderful free Mother’s Day event for the kiddos this weekend. From painting flower pots to planting flowers for Mom, it was so special to see so many smiling faces and families making memories together at the lake. The turnout was amazing, and we’re so thankful for everyone who came out and supported the event!

And to all the moms, grandmas, bonus moms, and mother figures out there…Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Sullivan County Park & Lake. We hope your day was filled with love, laughter, and a little extra sunshine. 💜

🎯 Co****le Tournaments are BACK at Sullivan County Park & Lake! 🎯

Grab your partner, bring your bags, and get ready for some friendly competition at the lake this summer! ☀️

We’ve got a couple dates locked in—with more to come as the season rolls on:

🗓️ Saturday, May 9th @ 11AM
🗓️ Saturday, June 6th @ 10AM

Here’s what you need to know:
✔️ Bring your own partner & bags (we’ll have a few extras if needed!)
✔️ $20 per team (cash only)
✔️ Registration opens 1 hour before start time & closes 15 minutes prior
✔️ Payout to the top 3 teams 💰
✔️ If time allows, we’ll run a blind draw and/or singles tournament after!

Join us for Open Mic Nights at the Hinesley Pavilion, where local talent takes the stage for a fun, laid-back evening by the lake. Whether you’re performing or just soaking it all in, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer night.
