Hi this is Marianne (Garrell's wife & business partner!) 😁I haven't posted for a couple of weeks due to a fall I took on Feb 7th. After I was in Washington Mercy having a MRI when I got a call back to go immediately to the big Mercy on Ballas Rd in STL to the ER entrance! They wouldn't go into detail.. but pretty scary! I was very humbled to walk into a packed full ER at capacity & the staff was prepared for me. One RN said I must have had Angels surrounding me! They admitted me, did another tests & a Neurologist told me they saw I had an Aneurysm & tests showed I had a stroke at some point. I was stunned. I am 67....but I never expected this. I was scheduled for surgery but they were trying to get my HBP down so that was delayed but finally happened the next Tues for the surgery to put a Coil block in the Basal Aneurysm so it would not rupture. It was still 6 days later before I was released. My Neurologist said it will be awhile until I am myself again as I have to "retrain my brain."

All I can say it is so important we are advocates for our own health. There were several delays & I could have not made it.
I wanted to share, hopefully not TMI. But Garrell & I are so excited to open this year...our 50th year! We are nearing full steam ahead now w/ plans & promotions. We hope to see you w/ your family & friends visit us this summer at Arapaho! Let one of us know if we can personally add on to your stay whether its a BDAY 💐cake 🍰🍸🎂

We took a drive down to Sappington Bridge this pm. (Where we put in floats for the 9 mile) Photos aren't great but its all green & the river clear! Calling for rain the next 4 days then we'll see where we're at!! The trees at Arapaho are all green, budded & very beautiful! Call us soon to save your campground spot & book your Float! We can't wait to see you!

This is ARAPAHO!! We're known for our many trees as a shady cool riverfront campground! We ❤️ our trees & have kept them since Day 1! A few of our Guests bring hammocks to tie up between trees 🌳🌳 on their site! We def understand the desire to be in sync w/ nature!
