Hoosier Kayak Bassin was born out of a passion for the sport of kayak fishing, the anglers who make this community so special, and the organizations that paved the way for anglers to compete at the local level here in Indiana.
From the Turkey Bowl, to the Top 25, to the State Championship and everything in between, it has truly been an honor to provide anglers with opportunities to compete, showcase their talents, build friendships, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
As the 2026 season comes to a close, so too will Hoosier Kayak Bassin.
This decision doesn’t come easy. HKB has been an important part of my life, but I’m incredibly excited about the future of kayak fishing here in Indiana. We have some of the best men and women in the sport leading the charge across the Hoosier State—growing the sport, creating opportunities, and continuing to raise the standard.
While HKB may be riding off into the sunset, I’m not going anywhere. Personally, I’ll continue supporting the individual clubs, series, tournament directors, and anglers in every way I can.
Before we sign off for the final time, there’s one thing left to say:
Thank you.
Thank you to every angler who showed up. Every person who volunteered their time. Every organization and partner who supported us. And every person who believed in me and in the mission behind HKB.
It was never about me.
It was always about the community.
I’m incredibly thankful for the friendships, partnerships, memories, and experiences that came from this journey. Some of the relationships built through HKB will last far beyond any tournament, trophy, or season.
To everyone who was a part of it over the years—truly, thank you.
It’s been one hell of a ride.
I look forward to seeing you all on the water very soon.
