Heroes don't always wear capes. Sometimes they wear knee sleeves... and save lives. ❤️
Tuesday night, The Box Cross Training Gym had the privilege of honoring one of our own.
Years ago, Jeremy donated bone marrow to a complete stranger, saving her life. Next Wednesday, he'll donate one of his kidneys to that same person—giving her a second chance once again.
Not everyone gets the opportunity to save a life.
Jeremy chose to do it twice.
To honor him, 23 members of The Box Cross Training Gym showed up wearing matching shirts that read, "Be Like Jeremy"... with the back reminding everyone, "Except maybe don't start handing out organs." 😂
Of course, Jeremy's shirt was a little different. On the front it read:
"I Donated an Organ."
And on the back:
"What's your excuse for not showing up for the workout?"
That's Jeremy. Humble enough to laugh, tough enough to inspire us all.
Members showed up to complete the "Jeremy" Hero WOD, not because the workout was on the board, but because that's what family does—we show up for each other.
Jeremy, thank you for reminding us what true strength looks like. We couldn't be more proud to call you our friend.
Please join us in wishing Jeremy a successful surgery next Wednesday, a smooth recovery, and God's blessings for both him and the woman whose life he's chosen to save... again.
