What IF

Keith Thurman once former unified welterweight world champion, having held the WBA title from 2015 to 2019 (promoted to Super champion in 2017), and the WBC title from 2017 to 2018. As of July 2022, he is ranked as the world's fifth best active welterweight by BoxRec. Thurman was a tier 1 welterweight coming off of wins over Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia being hunted by the likes of Errol Spence, Spence even crashed one of Thurmans interviews saying “one time” is always “injured” then suddenly. On May 19, it was reported that Thurman would be out of action for at least six months following surgery on his right elbow. Thurman said he would get back into training after four months well 4 to 6 months turned into nearly two years due to multiple injuries. Eventually returning in 2019 to stave off near disaster against Josesito Lopez in a comeback fight where he was badly hurt. Six months later, Thurman dropped a split decision against Manny Pacquiao in their pay-per-view blockbuster.

What If Thurman doesn’t get hurt? And the fight with Spence happens, What If he beats Errol Spence? Don’t misquote me Thurman carry’s some of Crawford’s attributes good feet, good counterpuncher, fast hands, and power. “WHAT IF?”

Now we see Thurman in interviews trying to talk his way back into the rim of tier 1 welterweights and big fights. Recently called out by Carissa Shields? Why Keith Thurman? Who knows! Will we ever see if Thurman gets back to his peak form but “What If?”

One Person

We all have that one person who brings the good or the bad out of us. In this case it’s been actually better than good, it’s been great.
Partrick Lavon Mahomes II has made the impossible look possible with he’s transition to the NFL. In 6 seasons Mahomes has thrown for 24,241 yards 192 TDs has won 2 super bowls, 2 Super Bowl MVPs, 2 reg season MVPs, been selected to 5 pro bowls, and collected 1 OPOY award oh and has won 80% of his nfl games.

And he’s only 27 years old with a full career of accolades just amazing. He’s already ahead of Brady pace wise. WOW. Young Mahomes is going into the second half of his career looking to continue his dominance. There’s ONE PEROSN who can derail Mahomes and he’s not an NFL player his name is ANDY REID.

At 65 years of age Reid has 32 years of experience coaching in the NFL and 11 as the head coach of the Chiefs. By drafting Mahomes 10th in the 2017 draft Reid has killed the naysayers that he can’t win the big game
to becoming one of the NFLs greatest coaches of all-time. Reid is getting no younger question is can he help Patrick become comfortable enough running an Offense without him. We’ve seen Brady & Peyton basically become offensive coordinator on the backend of their careers running offenses they’re familiar and comfortable with.

So when Reid transcends out of football Will Mahomes be able to fend on his own. Any hiccups without Reid the detractors will have a field day!

Lebron James has done everything you can ask as a fan number 1 overall pick in his prime for 20+ years. He’s won championships, reg season mvps, finals mvps, 19 all star games, nba all-time leading scorer, and much more.

But least to say maybe his greatest accomplishment he’s never embarrassed himself or his family. 18 years old world at ya feet outside looking in he made it look easy. He even brought his boys along something so many have tried but many have failed.

And they got their hustle on they put that work in, near fact he trusted and believed in them as much as they did. Had to be all the confidence they needed that battery in ya back ya know.

Change for what?!

It’s funny they say people don’t change, they say you need to grow, you need stop this and do that. Sometimes change is temporary then you resort back to your old ways. Sometimes- you continue to do what works, Terence Crawford continuously said “I’m going to go in there and do that I always do.” Most of us thought pretty cliché but what about strategy, another elite fighter you have on your hands Bud?

Well…… Crawford showed us sometimes change is not needed! 40-0 31KOs world class experienced skilled fighter like Bud Crawford. “Has something unaccounted for God Given Talent.” He happens to be an athlete who fights for a living once you add repetition you get unified in two different weight classes.

A rematch well be pure entertainment & for financial purposes only! How it’s fight ends my differ but the winner won’t CHANGE!

Legacy fight- while dominating his division Jermell has had only a few hiccups losing to Tony Harrison only to stop Harrison in the 2nd fight. Having his first unification bout with Brian Castano end in a draw then coming back and beating Castano in the rematch. Jermell has had his WBC title since 2019 (and previously from 2016 to 2018), the WBA (Super), IBF and Ring magazine titles since 2020, and the WBO title since 2022.

Seems pretty dominating, right? Well outside or even inside the boxing community Jermell has been overlooked and misunderstood. Having outbursts at press conferences even volatile arguments with other boxers outside the ring. With a win over Canelo Alvarez Jermell will align himself with the all time greats of boxing and also one of todays Pound4Pound best!
