Backer and his mother Elizabeth came down from Texas to do some backcountry fishing with me and had a great day even with all the 20 plus winds we had. Backer hooked into a large tarpon that ended up braking off mid battle but he was able to land and safely release this beautiful Lower Keys bonefish. They caught some large sharks that they really enjoyed too!

Father and son from Dallas checked a big one off the bucket list today — their first Lower Keys tarpon! Huge teamwork, patience, and steady pressure brought this silver queen boatside for a healthy release. Moments like these are what fishing the Keys is all about. 🎣🌴

My friend and yearly returning customer Mike obtained his dream come true permit, and we subsequently pursued a beautiful bonefish. Although we encountered some difficulty in finding a cooperative resident tarpon to complete his Slam, Mike ultimately achieved his goal. I am extremely grateful for all my repeat customers who return to fish with me year after year.
