Mathias Equine Services provides horseback riding lessons, training, colt starting, consignment sales, and barefoot trimming with a soft natural horsemanship approach. We combine intelligent horsemanship that uses the horses natural instincts and tendencies to

softly train and develop willing partners for a variety of disciplines. Good horsemanship and good horses are universal regardless of the direction we take our riding in. With two trainers with a background in Western and English/Jumping with a strong emphasis on Dressage...we create the ultimate team. Working to create soft, willing and confident horse and rider teams who can go anywhere and do anything. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the horse and equine education.

A great new facility!!!

Hello Volunteers!! Buckeye Ridge Rescue & Retreat is preparing for spring, and we’re building our very first volunteer team to help care for our rescue animals and prepare the property for the season ahead.

If you’ve ever wanted to spend time with animals, work outdoors, meet great people, and be part of something meaningful, this is your moment.

Our volunteers help with things like:
• Caring for our rescue animals
• Spring property setup
• Preparing spaces for community events
• Helping create unforgettable experiences for guests and families

We’re hosting Volunteer Orientation & Training soon, and you can attend whichever time works best for you. PLEASE BE SURE TO GON ONLINE AND FILL OUT THE VOLUNTEER FORM.

Volunteer Orientation & Training:
Friday Evening – March 13
Saturday – 11:00 AM
Monday – 6:00 PM

Volunteers can begin helping as soon as this weekend if you’d like to jump right in. If none of these times work, just message us and we’ll schedule another option. And if you know someone who loves animals, please tag them or share this post so we can build an amazing volunteer team.

P.S. Our Highland cows, goats, pigs, and rescue animals are very excited to meet their new human helpers. Buckeye Ridge Rescue & Retreat

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. The love and support is appreciated and will help get through the struggles coming ahead. This is a chance for us to celebrate every small win and have grace when times get tough.

I just want to start by saying thank you to my family who has been by my side these last few days.
I had to have an emergency surgery on my back and have a long way to go trying to regain feeling, balance and basic function in my lower limbs. This recovery is going to take some time and I will be reaching out to my clients as I start this new journey.
If phone calls or text don’t get responded too, please know we are working through this new journey as a family and doing our best.

Life is so very fragile, be blessed
