Krushers played in their first tournament this weekend. We played in the Icebreaker Tournament in Idaho Falls. We played 3 games on Friday. Unfortunately, we struggled at the plate and lost all three games. Our defense and pitching really did well, and held all the games close. Taylee Robertson, Kinsley Robertson, and Harley Henry pitch great games on Friday and gave us a chance. Kinsley Shawcroft had two triples that came in back to back games.
On Saturday we played early in the morning against Idaho Storm out of Boise and our bats came to play. Not only did we hit well, but we bunted so well it was so fun to watch. We won the game 11-6. Taylee Robertson pitched the whole game and pitched a gem of a game. The defense was also spot on. The second game of the day we played Meridian Aces who we lost to on Friday 6-2. Unfortunately, we struggled at the plate. Our pitching and defense was great. Bryn Crofoot made some great quick acting plays at 3rd.
Overall the weekend was a success, because we played great defense, great pitching, and got a win Saturday that hasn't happened in a couple of years. Thank you for all the parents, friends, and family that showed up to support the girls. It means a lot to them.
