Race day update:
Junior 3 A, Ashton started second and was very fast. Unfortunately, during a caution, his muffler came off so he had to pull off. Didn't get to finish (again) in A.
Junior 3 B, he started on the pole and had a great race. He ended up taking the win! Also, ended up winning a new set of tires, tee shirt, and a Maxxis hat. Thank you Albemarle Speedway and it's sponsors!

It's turned out to be a great day to be at the track. Amazing weather. We made some major changes to the kart this week and hope they end up giving Ashton that extra bit of edge he needs. What a beautiful day for racing. The karts pretty sporty but we have some tough competition for tonight. We start 2nd in the first race and 3rd in the second race.

We had a good night at the track. Fast kart all day. In the first race we started 3rd and took the lead on lap 3 and checked out before the right rear tire went flat. The second race we also started P3 and took the lead on lap 3 then checked out and got the win.Thanks to everyone who supports us and gives us the opportunity to do this. Sawyer automotive, Do welding, cavalier Ford Chesapeake square, Bennett's creek wrecker, Smith wrap's.

VDKA race update:
First race, we qualified 13th. He raced his way up to 8th.
Second race, started 12th and he raced his way up to 5th. He got moved out of the groove and slid back a few spots.
We struggled finding speed for daytime racing on a hard, hot track. We kept making adjustments throughout the day and ended up fast by the second race.
Highlight of the day, Ashton ran his fastest lap ever at 10.99 seconds!!
