Ran it back one last time before the winter storm settles in. Capped off an incredible season with a 40 piece and a mallard/pintail hybrid in a block of woods we haven’t hunted in several years. Beyond grateful for it all. God bless the mallard duck! 🦆

We’ve used the full moon and warm weather as an opportunity to give the ducks a much needed break. Got back after it today and ended up with our first Black Duck in over 7 years.

Out of the last 9 hunts in this particular hole (spanning across 4 seasons), we’ve killed 5 bands and 1 black duck. Whether there’s some sort of explanation for it or if it’s just pure luck, walking away with a trophy 6 times out of 9 hunts in one spot is a pretty insane statistic!
