As the saying goes… “All good things must come to an end.”

For the past 38 years I have been a charter captain. It has brought me some of my closest friends, the ability to meet people from all over the country, and catch a whole lot of fish. As I look back on the almost 4 decades I’ve owned “Fox 1” I think of the many memories this boat has brought people and more so myself. I’ve had anywhere from 4-94 year olds aboard the Fox 1, been a part of a child’s Make A Wish, reeled in some award winning trophies, raised my daughter to love fishing, had countless 2am wake-up’s during the fishing season, and ate a lot of donuts. Customers turned into regulars, first-mates moved on, but still my love for fishing remained.

Although a huge and impactful part of my life, it is time to retire Fox 1 Charters. Although I will no longer be Capt. Fox taking out lake charters, I will continue to fish and guide white-fishing in the winter season. Thank you to the other captains, friends I’ve made, and customers I’ve had throughout the past 38 years. I “Thank You” for the memories we made aboard my boat.
