We are SO excited to be back out fishing again after a long winter! This weekend Great Lakes Finesse baits were definitely the winning baits! Smallmouth, walleye, pike, and even a huge sheepshead all ate the Drop Minnow on a Cindy rig. The Dropkick minnow slow-rolled along the bottom also did some damage! No GIANTS this round, but can’t be mad with a few 5+ smallmouth and a very nice 7.5 pound walleye!

The season is winding down! We managed to get out on Saturday and what a day we had! We boated around 55 fish and lost about a dozen more. Two right around that 5 pound mark, with lots of 3's and 4's!

Water temps were still high but with the north blow on Sunday and cooler temps that will change fast! They will be putting on the fall fed bag soon!

We had a fabulous day with two fab ladies yesterday! Nancy and Laurie came up to chase Sturgeon Bay bronze backs with us. These gals put in the work and hooked up with some solid fish. The weather was beautiful, fish were caught, and many, many laughs were had. We can't wait to fish with you again!

We are ready to get back at it! With water temps warning up, the fish are starting to fall into their summer patterns. This is our favorite time of the year to fish - there are so many spots that can be productive on a variety of baits! This weekend we caught them using one of my favorite techniques - dragging a tube. Our tube of choice? Get Bit Baits green pumpkin. A proven classic that yielded 2 fish over 5 pounds!

We also caught a couple of nice perch on swim baits!

We hope everyone had a fantastic 4th! We spent the day marveling at some smallie fireworks! The bite will only continue to get better!
