Sturbridge Ice Races

Happy new year everyone!! 2026 is looking like a good year for some ice. Finalizing some stuff w the club and insurance and we should be ready for some racing. I’ll get a list of classes times and all the info everyone will need up by this weekend.

But as always AMA rules apply for kill switches on all bikes and quads protective fenders covering the tires on bikes to the axle line and nerf bars for the quads. The fenders should be able to take a hit and keep on racing.. visible numbers are a must for scoring on all participating racers.

Sorry for the late post. But 50’s tomorrow it will be hard to have good ice for Sunday. And the weather doesn’t look to be in our favor for the following week. But I’ll keep an eye on things

Ok all Saturday will be race day! Hope to see everyone there.

We are going to have the way everyone came in last time be the same way to enter again. When you pull in you’ll be directed a ways into Hamiltons parking where you will sign in and pay and park if you are a spectator or continue on down and enter the pits from the back side. We are doing this to avoid sitting in the road and save time hopefully.

The track is looking great and weather is as well!

Gate opens at 7 sign ups at 8 practice at 10:30

Hey all! With it still saying rain for this Sunday I hate to cancel but I have to.. next week as of now is looking good for a race so I’m planning on running next weekend. The club has a prior rental on Sunday so we are going to run Saturday the 22nd.

I’ll post some updates over the weekend

With the potential weather coming Sunday and a lot of people out plowing and taking care of the storm on our end and the clubs end. I’m going to call it off for this Sunday. I’ll get the pond clear and keep an eye on the weather for the 16th

I can’t thank everyone enough for all the support for the Sturbridge ice races. I was blown away today seeing how many people were there. To all the New York racers who made the trip I thank you guys for always coming to the races. It’s awesome.

But I do want to make a huge apology for the lack of trophy’s at the end of the day. Not the way I wanted the day to go down and run a race I’m gutted for that and sincerely apologize. It was last minute but didn’t know it wasn’t going to happen until halfway through the day that they weren’t done. Things happened but I won’t let it happen again.

If you were owed a trophy, message me and as soon as I get them together I will mail it to you

Thank you Hamilton rod and gun club and staff for everything. My crew who I really can’t say enough about but they speak for themselves with the show that happens because of them.

I’ll keep everyone posted on the next race. Fingers crossed

Ok everyone we are good to go for Sunday. Last minute it all came together! Thanks to the club for their patience and my dad (slim) for all the help he’s given me to make this happen and everyone who supports us along the way.

Gates open at 7:30 sign ups open at 8. 10.00 a person under 12 free. Please have all info ready at sign ups to make it quick and easy. The weather should be prime for Sunday. Practice starts at 10:30 racing at 11

Jay Buxton will have numbers and some supplies for race day! See him in the pits. Thanks Jay!!

The club house will have food and drinks and a place to warm up in between races for everyone. Please No alcohol in the pits no fires and helmets must be worn when riding on and off the track. 1st gear only.

There was a class list posted and we will have it up at sign ups as well.
