What happens when you shoot the same score over and over again? Or you never have broken 100. What to do?

Take your next score…say you had 105…set your next goal score to be 102…once you reach 102 your next goal score would be 99.

Figure out the numbers. It might not happen the first time but stay focus on your goal!

How’s your health? Do you have a cold, cough or a bad back? Life can throw you some curves and I’m not talking about the curve on your golf ball in flight. Each day is a new day and you have accept what comes and figure out how to play your best on each day. Remember, no matter what always visualize each shot prior to your swing.

I’m off to a poker tournament in a few hours. I told a friend I would like to come in the top 5. My poker game is coming around. The last three tournaments I cashed in two.

Golf is a lot like poker. I have to plan to WIN! If you play any sport or game a plan is necessary to be successful. A poker tournament can last 10 hours so patients is so important. Just like golf patients is so important. Getting on a roll,
making a few birdies and finishing with a low score is all important for a better improved game.

When you play golf pick a score you would LOVE TO SHOOT. JUST DO IT!

I have the most FUN talking GOLF! Because of my 7 years of fighting Cancer my playing days are on hold right now till my body gets healthier. However, playing Poker keeps that competitive spirit in me ALIVE! I so miss playing but I know one day I’ll walk the fairways again and be on the lesson tee again.

One thing I know is people LOVE talking GOLF with me. They tell me about their GREAT SHOTS, their BEST ROUNDS, the BEST COURSE they ever played. I hear and listen to it all. The stories bring back the GOOD TIMES for me. I love my life! It’s all GOOD!

Do you pull out an old dirty ball when you get around water? I have watch many amateurs do just that…

My tip to you is find a comfortable yardage that you feel 80 percent sure that You can clear the water. Once you make that decision stick with it.
Remember 80% means 8 out of 10 golf balls clears the lake.

When do you decide to go for that miracle golf shot? Do you go for that miracle shot every time you come to your ball or you never go for a miracle shot because your confidence level is low as a player? It’s hard to make a hard decision. In golf there are lots of obstacles in your road to the hole. You and only you can make that decision. All I know going for shots that you might think are impossible and you hit that great shot will only make your game better!

How do you start your day at the golf course?

A. Bring a big cup of coffee to the first tee?

B. Stretch on the first tee.

C. Take 10 practice swings without a ball.

D. Arrive at the course one hour before your tee time, hit range balls, take a few chips, practice your putting to get the speed of the greens.

Forgive me I’m a day late posting my quick tip. I guess that happens when my brain has been worked on over 50 times.

Quick tip

What happens when teeing off there is a long line of people waiting for YOU to get going and of course you top the ball. How embarrassing!

Next time that happens on the first tee I would like you to imagine that you are in a shower (fully clothed) and the shower curtain is blocking all eyes from your swing and the result of your golf ball. Try this tip and all will be well!

How’s your putting? The quickest way to improve your game is to cut off shots on the putting green.

Do you know how to read greens? Or to you just aim for the center of the hole and pray your ball drops in the hole.

Quick tip to improve your PUTTING.

While lining up your putt look to the left of the hole and the right of the hole. Imagine water running on the green. Would the water run to
the left or the right of the hole? Once you pick your side play the break and watch your score drop.

How’s your golf game? Do you play well till you reach a certain hole on your course? Do you imagine your ball always dropping in the water or landing deep in the woods? Well, improving your game could be as easy as putting another picture in your brain during golf shots that seem always to land in spots on the course that turn out unplayable or wet.

Remember two words…
FAIRWAY - GREEN

Keeping your ball in the fairway and on the green will definitely lower your score. Pick any club that will reach your goal of FAIRWAY - GREEN and watch your score get lower.
