First fish of the day was a dandy! A beautiful 15” brown! Conditions are perfect right now for euro-nymphing, although I thought I’d never get this horse out of the current on 5X tippet!!! Caught a glimpse of it in deeper water and thought I’d hooked a carp?!?! I was pleasantly surprised once I got it shallow enough to realize it was a nice brown!!!

Amazing weekend on the ice in NW Iowa this weekend. Truly a multi-species trip with bluegill, crappie, perch, yellow bass and walleye caught. Ice was in great shape and the fish were hungry when you find them!
