🏁🟡🟢 Abel had the new car looking real good on Saturday @ Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway! Wishing the outcome would have been different. But you race and you race again regardless of the outcome. Because the question remains, do you love winning or do you love racing??? A win would sure be nice though.

// First race of the season with the new #34 GOOD as GOLD !!! A lot of newness to adjust to but it felt good. Spent a bit of time going over everything to make sure all was tight as the car got shook down. The car was fast and the fueling was really dialed in. However, the night ended up being a heart breaking 💔 kind of night. What could have been.

🟡 HOT LAPS: 6th fastest

🟢 HEAT: Started 6th ➡️ Finished 6th .. Made it up to 4th but unfortunately got caught up in someone else's mess sending Abel to the rear. Restarted in 8th and finished in 6th place making the last tranfer spot to the A-Main 👍

🟡 FEATURE: Started 17th ➡️ DNF (scored 16th)... Abel ran a phenomenal race charging through the field. He went P17 to P6 in 5 laps!!!
Even with the steering column coming loose during the race, Abel raced smart and hard. He confidently made his way up to 3rd and the white flag flew. As he headed into the final turns in 3 and 4 Abel got collected in a pile up with the lead and 2nd place car that got into the back end of a lap car. It was a heart breaking finish 💔!!! Oh, so close to crossing the finish and taking the checkered flag in a 3rd place podium finish. Instead he got towed off the track. Racing circumstances are often completely out of your hands and this was one of those sad situations.

🥉A podium finish for Abel Engler #34 Racing !!!! ☝️☝️☝️a 3rd place finish from a 14th place starting position made for a super exciting race!!!

🟢 Heat: 7th ➡️ 7th
Blocked off cool air flow to motor but maybe too much, car temp got a little hot. The car was biting hard in the cushion holding it up a bit on the high side.

🟡 Feature: 14th ➡️ 3rd 🥉!!!!
Made some set up adjustments prior to feature which was a wise move. The #34 Green Machine 💚 was super happy on restarts which worked well with multiple cautions. Smart racing on behalf of Abel gave him his first impressive podium finish @ the Clyde!!!!
Hoping to keep the fast momentum going 👍!!!

We took our first trip to this track, very nice facility and interesting track. The track was excessively muddy!!! Wish hot laps were more helpful for getting a feel for a new track to help with car set up etc. A big car count and lousy heat starting position didn't help much but it was nice to get more seat time and it's always a good day if we are racing. You do your best to make something happen.

🟢 Heat: 9th ➡️ 6th
8 laps, not quite enough time to move up to a qualifying position. Top 3 transfer to A-Main

🟡 B-Main: 6th ➡️ 4th
8 laps again is not very many laps especially with quite a few cautions. Only the top 2 made the show so that unfortunately eneded the night for Abel.
It was nice to get a feel for the track and make notes for future reference.
After the B-Main Abel reviewed his car data and saw the car temperature had dropped a bit so the motor was not running at its optimal. But fueling looked good so maybe blocking off airflow in front of the motor could have been a benefit. You race, you learn.

🏁🟩🟨 Abel Engler #34 Racing 2025 Race Season Recap
// Looking back on our racing adventures. Overall we had a successful year making it out to a total of 30 races and making all but 6 feature races, and considering the often high car counts, making the feature race is a huge accomplishment! And we had some fast nigts of racing, having good speed at a variety of tracks. Often the thing that hurt us most was unfortunate racing circumstances. But we were grateful to get get the #34 Green Machine 💚 fixed up and race ready most weekends.

☆ Sportsman of the year in the Wingless 600 class @ the Clyde
☆ Best Finishes: Two 5th place @ the Clyde & Airport Speedway
☆ 8 Top 10's
☆ 3 Heat Race Wins 🏁🏁🏁
☆ 2 B- Main Wins 🏁🏁
☆ 19th in points @ Hyper Racing 600 Speedweek out of 82 total entires
☆ Made 3 out of 5 features @ Speedweek
☆ 15th @ East Coast Transponders Nationals
☆ 14th @ Butch Coffey Clasic

// And even with running a stock motor for the last seven races of the season we did our best as we were often out motored. But we made it work and at least got out on the track and enjoyed valuable seat time. We were blessed to learn and grow as a team! We look forward to what the 2026 season has in store for us! Hoping to keep the good momentum going as we take all that we gleaned from this year and apply it to our future racing endeavors 👍!!!
