Forgotten Forest Ultra Run The Ultra run will last 9 hours from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. All runners, joggers and walkers are invited to participate in this very friendly event.

The Town of Stratford is very fortunate indeed to be one of the few towns or cities in the nation to have its very own forest. Roosevelt Forest was set up during the depression in the 1930's. It was developed in large part through President Franklin D. Roosevelt's W.P.A. program, designed to provide jobs for legitimate public projects. This beautiful 401 acre forest is part of the town's excell

ent park system. The park was established to provide recreational opportunities for townspeople, and to protect the watershed, wildlife and beauty of this fine example of mixed deciduous forest. Neatly nestled away, the forest is sometimes, well just forgotten. Now, the forest will be brought to life with the second running of the FORGOTTEN FOREST ULTRA RUN ! Experience on a trail is mandatory for safety, so a little practice is warranted. There will be an award for first, second and third overall and first male and female in the category of senior/master or 55 years of age and older. Also, an Ultra medal for anyone participating for 6 or more hours without more than a single 15 minute stop. You can run a 10K, 20K, 26.2 , 50K and more. You must be at least 18 years of age. A charitable portion of this race will go to the Roosevelt Forest Trail Commission, the Town of Stratford, the Stratford EMS and a future charity. A very important thing to note is this is limited to only 50 participants, so register quickly and reserve your spot for being alive in the outdoors. Run, jog or walk, you have nine hours to do your best !

YES ! Hail, 100 mie "Buckle" Runners of the Centurion and the Forbidden! (Please:email the Race Director at [email protected] and give the date of the 100 mile achievement.):
FYI: the Centurion Daze will be happening for on June 24, 25, 26, 27 in 2027, starting at Noon on the 24th till Noon on the 27th or 72 Hours (3 Days). This Centurion Daze 3 Day Ultra Trail Race will be in celebration of 10+ years of running the roosevelforestultras. It will be by "invitation only" and limited to 50 Runners/Hikers. Initial invitations will go to anyone who has "buckled" at the Centurion or the Forbidden over these past years. A limited amout of Guess invitiaions will also be allocated by the Race Director. If you have "Buckled" and are interest in being one of the first 25 to register (invited), please email the Race Director at [email protected] and give the date of the 100 mile achievement.
