The award-winning Northern Light loves dark starts. There's no better way to start the day than getting up top to drop in when the sky transitions from moon-lit to a burst of orange on the horizon.

Temps are dropping and snow is falling.

Continuing Paul's long history of award-winning snowboard design, the Northern Light recently won one in Backcountry Mag's annual spliboard test. "Surfy yet can hammer turns..." Sounds like some of the testers share our love for float and slash.

Couloir season is in full swing in western North America and the Alps, with a couple weeks left on Mt Washington thanks to last week's snow. Plenty of tight topo lines still to be found.

The Happy Hour.

Pow or groomer, sunrise is such an amazing time to be up top. The energy and light are uplifting, the conditions almost always feel ridiculous on The Down, and the only other people on the hill are fellow mountain lovers.

And then the Hour extends into the first few laps on the lifts for some volume of kinesthetic hedonism.

Our favorite time of day.
