Lee Janzen hit a 20 ft putt on the first playoff hole to secure victory in this past weeks' event, the SAS Championship. When you and your golf group are out playing and the match is tied after 18 holes, do you end on a halved match, or do you go to a playoff?

Is it a scorecard playoff, or a putt off, maybe a chip off, or an extra hole if you can sneak off of Hole 1 again? Let us know!

In the spirit of the thrashing team USA gave team Europe, we are giving away four twosomes for the Fall 2021 season at Wedgewood Pines Country Club to the first four qualifying entries!

In order to qualify you must be:
1) At least 21 years of age and a resident of the United States
2) A verified member of a Private Country Club

Here is how to enter:
1) Follow privatepinsgolf and wedgewoodpines on Facebook and Instagram, like the giveaway post on Facebook and Instagram
2) Tag your playing partner from your own club and name your country club within the post
3) Download and create a sign in on the Private Pins Golf app
4) Entries must be submitted by September 30th at noon (12pm)

Winners of the giveaway will have the opportunity to be paired up in a competitive match with members of Wedgewood pines (if they choose to have a match-style round). The lowest net score tracked on the app out of the winning groups will win a foursome at Wedgewood Pines for the 2022 season!

What an absolutely incredible event at Whistling Straits this past week! It was a true testament to why we love that type of format. Teams, match play, emotions, pride, fan engagement, and so much more! Even the players in the Ryder Cup were saying it's their favorite golf event in the world.

Here's to encouraging more match play formats in our golf lives!

Team USA leads 3- 1 over Team Europe after the morning wave at Whistling Straits. Was certainly fun to watch the Foursome Alternate shot format, and now onto the Four-Ball! Ryder Cup week is upon us! Arguably my favorite golf event in the world, the format makes for such edge-of-your-seat viewing.

Beyond that, the Ryder Cup format is one of my favorite style events to play in. Two big teams, battling it out over several rounds to determine who the best is! Really fires up my competitive side on the course because you're playing for the pride of your team. Just a few shots from the first Home and Home match set up on Private Pins Golf. Salem Country Club members were kind enough to first play host to Wedgewood Pines members, and the Wedgewood Pines members returned the favor the following month! The overall match ended in a tie, meaning a return to Salem is in the near future!
