🏌️♂️💜⛳ What a Season. What a Team. What a Day. ⛳💜🏌️♂️
Today, our Stoughton Varsity Golf Team left everything they had on the golf course at Regionals, and I couldn’t be more proud of this group of young men.
These boys have worked all season for this moment. Early morning practices, long days on the course, countless range sessions, extra holes after practice, and a commitment to getting better every single day. They never stopped believing in each other, and today it showed.
🔥 The team shot a season-best 302 — the lowest score Stoughton Golf has posted in the last five years!
We finished 2nd place overall, just 5 shots shy of being Regional Champions. That alone speaks volumes about how far this team has come.
Individual performances were nothing short of incredible:
🥈 Jaren Vale fired a career-best 2-under-par 69, earning 2nd place individually. An unbelievable round under pressure and one he will never forget. So proud of the hard work he’s put in to reach this level.
💥 Camdyn Ketelsen followed with an outstanding 1-over 72, including a season-best front nine of 3-under par, highlighted by 2 birdies and an eagle. He battled all day and delivered when the team needed him most.
💪 Rocco Randall posted a strong 78, continuing to be one of the toughest competitors on our roster and giving us another tremendous round when it mattered most.
👏 Jacob Hibner came through with an 83, grinding through every hole and contributing to our historic team score.
❤️ Colton Schauff shot a 95, and while scores don’t always tell the whole story, Colton’s commitment, attitude, and willingness to battle for his teammates all season long have been a huge part of what makes this team special. Every player on this roster contributed to the success we’ve had this year.
The scores tell part of the story, but they don’t tell the whole story.
What has impressed me most all season isn’t the birdies, eagles, or low rounds. It’s the way these young men show up every day. They work. They compete. They support one another. They never quit. When one player struggles, another picks him up. When one player succeeds, the entire team celebrates.
That culture is what makes this group special.
As a coach, you couldn’t ask for a better group of young men to lead. They represent Stoughton with class, character, and determination every single day.
Tonight, be proud of what you accomplished. You earned it.
