It was a hot one this week but that didn’t stop several Strikers attending the annual Canton Soccer Camp at Canton High School. A fun week of scrimmaging, camaraderie, and healthy competition. Summertime is a great moment to get touches on a soccer ball in less-drill orientated, more organic pickup play.

Congrats to our Strikers - Jack B., Harris B., Wyatt D-I, Luke K., Andrew L., Colin M., Nicholas N., and Thomas S. I didn’t get a photo of Harris so added one in.

And a big shoutout to Ryan Chrisos who played incredible goalkeeping today. Super impressed with his versatility. Drink plenty of water! Fall ball is starting soon!

Next year’s camp will be the week of Monday, August 2nd.

Strikers goalkeeper, Bradley Schoolcraft, was also busy this weekend as he travelled down to Maryland to compete at the Keeper Wars National Championships.

By invite only, Bradley’s earlier April performance at the Massachusetts Keeper Wars event earned him the coveted invitation to Maryland. Promoted to a higher competition division, Bradley played Keeper War Champions from all around the country and had a great competitive showing.

The Strikers are so lucky to have Bradley as one of their GKs and very proud to see him travel to hone his craft and compete on a national level.

While all of our Strikers with their cleats and shin guards are enjoying some well earned downtime before town travel season starts, a few of them returned to Cape Cod to defend their Beach Blitz Championship title. They did not disappoint and pulled off a repeat championship title.

Congrats to the Sand Strikers and their coaches Adam Kotlik and Brett Tuck.

Once there were 12 Champion Teams from across Massachusetts…now only 4 remain including our Stoughton Strikers. It all ends tomorrow with semi-finals and finals.

Congratulations to our Grade 5/6 Stoughton Strikers who won the South Shore Soccer League Division 2 Championships. Most of these boys have been playing together since 3rd Grade but all have been Strikers this year.

For the 2025-2026 year, they have played over 36 matches, attended numerous Coach Roy’s infamous 2+ hours practices, and played with a new level of maturity that puts TEAM before SELF.

Tennis great, Billie Jean King, said “Champions keep playing until they get it right.” Today, the Stoughton Strikers got it all right. Congrats, boys!

Finally, thank you to Coach Roy Iggulden, Coach Chris Benoit, and Coach Adam Kotlik for your commitment, contributions and leadership in developing these boys for success both on and off the field; and to all the parents and guardians, who without your support and sacrifices, we do not exist.

Five years ago, we created Stoughton Strikers to fill a gap between town fall & spring soccer. We wanted to give our kids, many of whom don’t do club, an opportunity to keep honing their skills. We wanted them to continue to develop and be competitive with towns that are concentrated with club kids.

Since the start, we realized that to build a strong depth of skilled players we couldn’t just focus on our son’s age group. We needed to provide opportunities to boys older and younger than him. This year we had 50+ Stoughton Strikers in U9-U14.

With lots of help from our Stoughton Strikers volunteer coaches, the work our Strikers athletes put in, and the dedication of volunteer coaches for town travel, the boys’ soccer program had great showing this year.

EVERY SINGLE BOYS TEAM WITH A STRIKER MADE PLAYOFFS THIS YEAR. EVERY SINGLE ONE.

We realize that there are a lot of factors that go into creating a winning season and that we are just one piece of that equation but the results we set out to achieve are showing.

We have Stoughton Town Travel soccer teams in the South Shore Soocer League playoffs. That means we have Strikers playing in these games.

First game is tonight. Some U12 Strikers plan to go and support our Grade 7/8 boys. Another game later this week! Let’s go…and good luck!
