UConn Club Triathlon Team The UConn Club Triathlon Team is an officially recognized team by Club Sports at UConn and USA Triathlon. The team competes both locally and nationally.

The UConn Club Triathlon Team is an official club sport at UConn for the sport of triathlon. The team was founded in 2010 and officially recognized as a USA Triathlon Club, and UConn Club Sport in 2012. The team now competes in the Northeast Collegiate Triathlon Conference (NECTC), racing in local races against other club triathlon teams from colleges and univerisites throughout the Northeast dur

ing the NECTC season, which runs from late August through the last week of September. Team members compete for both individual and team rankings, and ultimately to qualify for the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship which happens each spring. We have sent team members to nationals for the past two years. Although many team members compete for qualification and rankings, the emphasis is on participation and team atmosphere, rather than ability. From first-time triathletes to IronMan finishers and world championship qualifiers, the team truly has all types of athletes, and is welcoming to any UConn undergraduate or graduate student who is interested in competing.
