PILLARS is an achievement that recognizes SBU Women’s Rugby as an organization that has accomplished excellence in the areas of Purpose, Inclusivity and Belonging, Leadership, Linkage to the Stony Brook community, Adaptability and Innovation, Risk Management, and Structure+Membership. The PILLARS recognition demonstrates that the women’s rugby team has a well rounded environment.

Through collaboration of Diaka Berete from the Stony Brook Women’s Basketball team, Gillian Farnan from Student Engagement, and Emma the SBU women’s rugby president/captain we have been able to elevate the rugby team to reach excellence in all these standards and overall bolster our program. We are excited about what this excellence means for the future of our team!!
