Help needed! The eel grass is piling up on the beach! Can you help rake it to the fishing dock side? Bring a rake and lend a hand.
We are donating it to the Coogan Farm Giving Garden :)
Wed 8/12 @ 430pm we will have a trailer to load...;Bring rakes, pitch forks, buckets amd tarps...if we get a large group it wont take too long before the racing.

Our 50th Anniversary Barbecue is tomorrow!

We’re excited to celebrate rain or shine, and the forecast is looking mostly sunny. We’ll also have a large tent ready, just in case.

The sailboat race begins at 1:30 PM, with sailors arriving to rig and head out between about 12:30 and 1:15 PM. The Typhoon class has also been added.

Group kayak paddlers should arrive shortly after and plan to head out around 2:00 PM.

Please be neighborly, lend a hand, share the hose, and help others as everyone returns to the beach and stores their boats in their assigned spaces.

The picnic starts at 4:30 PM, giving everyone time to head home, shower, and return with their potluck items.

⛵️ Hello Racers!

Wednesday Night Racing kicks off June 24th!

We’re excited to welcome everyone back for the 2026 season and look forward to seeing you on the starting line. Please remember to sail by the stern of the committee boat before racing to check in with your name and sail number.

Looking to shake off the rust? Course marks are being set this week, so feel free to get out for some practice laps before the first race.

After racing, stick around and join us for grilling on the bricks at SHYC! Racers, family, and friends are all welcome at 32 Water Street to swap stories, meet fellow sailors, and enjoy Chef Jamie’s creative weekly menu.

See you on the water!

Thanks to all who came to SSBA for the work day! 3 dozen or so folks, mowed, wacked, weeded, and raked to get the boat park in tip top shape!

Due to the forecast for thunderstorms and possible small hail tomorrow afternoon, the SSBA Work Party has been postponed to Wed 5/27 at 5pm
