Bell’s Big Day Propels Lakeview Sailors JH Softball Past Wilmington

Zara Bell collected three hits in three at bats, as Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th defeated Wilmington 18-3 on Friday. Zara Bell doubled in the second inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the first inning.

Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th won thanks in part to 11 runs in the first inning. an error scored one run, Reese Foster singled, scoring one run, Jaidyn Scott doubled, scoring two runs, a dropped third strike scored two runs, Brooke Geiger singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Zara Bell doubled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored one run.

Wilmington got on the board in the top of the first inning after Rolli grounded out, and Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th committed an error, each scoring one run.

Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th scored six runs on one hit in the bottom of the second inning. Karlyn Armstrong drew a walk, scoring one run, Claire Zahniser drew a walk, scoring one run, Zara Bell doubled, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th added one run in the third after Karlyn Armstrong walked.

Alara Knox started the game for Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th. The hurler allowed four hits and three runs (one earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking one. Rolli led things off in the circle for Wilmington. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and 18 runs (six earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out eight and walking 10. Zara Bell pitched one inning of shutout ball for Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th in relief. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none.

Brooke Geiger collected two hits for Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th in three at bats. Karlyn Armstrong paced Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Alara Knox, Reese Foster, Zara Bell, and Amelia Drumm each stole multiple bases for Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th. Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th stole 13 bases in the game.

Lakeview Sailors 7th 8th play at home on Monday against Moniteau JH Softball 2026 in their next game.

Lakeview JH Ladies Softball on a 3 game winning streak

Lakeview Sailors JH Ladies Softball took the early lead against West Middlesex in the 1st inning going up 4-1 and never looked back!
Alara Knox started in the circle for Lakeview, pitching 3 solid innings striking out 5.
Zara Bell came in for relief and continued with strong pitching, striking out 6 in the remaining 4 innings. Jaidyn Scott and Amelia Drumm provided trustworthy catching behind the plate throughout the game.
The girls played well together and provided strong defense with multiple plays by Karyln Armstrong, Jaidyn Scott, and Brooke Geiger.
The final score was 12-7 with Zara crossing the plate 4 times, Amelia 3, Alara and Jaidyn each twice and Karlyn once.
The girls have a busy week ahead of them with 4 games, starting with Conneaut Lake away on Monday.

Dugger Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Lakeview Varsity Sailors Take The Win Over Muskie JV

Alexis Dugger collected three hits in three at bats, as Lakeview Varsity Sailors defeated Muskie JV 13-5 on Saturday. Alexis Dugger singled in the fourth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two ground outs. Lakeview Varsity Sailors first got on the board when Gabby Vera grounded out, scoring one run.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on two hits to take the lead, 7-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a hit by a pitch that drove in two.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors added one run in the third after Alexis Dugger singled to center field on an 0-2 count.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Gracie Harbaugh was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Payton Sereday grounded out, scoring one run, Alexis Dugger singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Taylor Varner earned the win for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. The right-handed pitcher allowed 10 hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking two.

Taylor Varner, Gracie Harbaugh, Alexis Dugger, Gabby Vera, and Piper Shreffler each stole multiple bases for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. Lakeview Varsity Sailors stole 16 bases in the game.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors play at home on Tuesday against Maplewood in their next game.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors took Wednesday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over Eisenhower Varsity Knights. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the eighth when Payton Sereday singled, scoring one run.

Payton Sereday collected five hits in five at bats in the win. Payton Sereday singled in the fifth inning, singled in the sixth inning, singled in the eighth inning, and singled in the second inning.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors tied the game in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a ground out by Gabby Vera, and a single by Payton Sereday.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a ground out by Natalie Sheirer, a single by Taylor Varner, a double by Gabby Vera, and a single by Payton Sereday.

Chloe Geiger stepped in the circle first for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. The pitcher allowed 15 hits (not all earned) and seven runs over eight innings, striking out five and walking six.

Lakeview Varsity Sailors amassed 22 hits in the game. Gracie Harbaugh and Payton Sereday each collected five hits for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. Taylor Varner, Gabby Vera, and Chloe Geiger each collected multiple hits for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. Gracie Harbaugh and Taylor Varner each stole multiple bases for Lakeview Varsity Sailors. After confirming with coaches and Justin - we will be having field prep day Sunday at 1 pm. We need all the help we can get. Many hands make light and quick work! Parents, siblings, and players we need you to come help pick weeds and clean dug outs to get the field ready for games.

1. Here are the two links for spirit wear we discussed at the meeting last night. Both will be open until Thursday next week. Order online and free shipping to the boosters. Once the order is in we will disperse.

Each vendor carries a bit of different options. You can order form both if you would like.

Friendly reminder for the coaches/boosters mandatory parent meeting tonight for both Junior High and Varsity Softball.

A mandatory parent meeting will be held on March 10th Please arrive in the Middle School cafeteria at 7:00 pm so we can get started as soon as possible.

The $20 concession stand startup fee and $75 participation fee can be paid at that time.

Originally thought to be at 6pm but due to the home volleyball meet - it will be at 7pm.
