🚶‍♀️🐾 Trail Etiquette Reminder – Help Keep Our Trails Multi-Use! 🎿

As many of our trails are enjoyed by walkers, pets, and cross-country skiers, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful when sharing these spaces.

If you see cross-country ski tracks, please avoid walking or letting pets walk within them. Footprints can damage the tracks, making them difficult or unsafe for skiers to use and enjoy.

Staying to the side of groomed ski tracks helps:
• Preserve trail conditions
• Keep skiers, walkers, and pets safe
• Ensure everyone can enjoy the trails throughout the winter season

The Marbletown Community Preservation Fund Advisory Board is hosting a Trail Connectivity Meeting on Wednesday November 12th at 5:30 PM at the D&H Canal Historical Society - Join us to discuss ways we can connect and expand the trails in our community!

Speakers:
Tom Konrad- Chair of the Environmental Conservation Committee
will present ways to connect the hamlets and expand the trails to allow for greater access for biking, walking and recreation in Marbletown.
Bob Anderberg- Open Space Institute
a master in trail development and restoration in the Hudson River Valley, will join us for an open conversation about the possibilities for expanding our trail network as well as connecting to other communities.

⚡️Marbletown is Charging Ahead! ⚡️

We’re celebrating the installation of 15 new EV charging stations (now 24 total across town!) with a fun Jog & Bike Tour! 🏃‍♀️🚴‍♂️
Saturday, November 1, 12:45 to 3pm!

The new chargers are located at Marbletown Town Park (3), Sun Creek Center (2), Marbletown Community Center (2), Stone Ridge Library (2), High Falls Food Coop (3), and the D&H Canal Museum & Mid-Hudson Visitor Center (2). There are existing public chargers at SUNY Ulster (2), Ridgewell Center(3), and Stone Dock Golf Course (4). 24 total.

Jog/Bike Tour will be led by Tom Konrad, ECC chair! The tour will be on a mix of road, sidewalk, and three of the town’s walking/biking trails: The O&W Rail Trail, the High Falls Creek Walk, and the 5 Locks Walk.
