🌊 Certification Weekend in Lake Tahoe! 🤿

What a weekend! We spent the weekend in beautiful Lake Tahoe completing Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Full Face Mask certifications. From training in the pool to putting new skills to the test in Tahoe, it was an awesome weekend of diving, learning, and making memories!

Big news for Justin’s Scuba Time! 🎉

We’re incredibly honored to share that Derek has officially been accepted into the PADI Course Director Training Course (CDTC).

This is the next step toward becoming a PADI Course Director—one of the highest professional ratings in recreational scuba diving. The journey has taken years of dedication, hundreds of certifications, countless dives, and an unwavering commitment to developing safe, confident divers.

This achievement isn’t just personal—it’s a huge step forward for Justin’s Scuba Time. Derek becoming a Course Director will allow us to train and mentor the next generation of PADI Instructors right here in the California Central Valley, creating even more opportunities for divers to grow from their very first breath underwater all the way to becoming dive professionals.

A sincere thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way—our students, staff, dive buddies, mentors, and the incredible diving community. Your trust and encouragement have made this possible.

The work is just beginning, and I can’t wait to bring this next level of training and leadership back to Justin’s Scuba Time.

While attending the CBSOA Conference in South Lake Tahoe, our Boating Unit deputiesI got to work.

Deputies Canepa, Jacobson, and Alcoriza took on the elements and are now officially high altitude and cold water certified after training in Lake Tahoe.

From freezing temperatures to challenging conditions, our Dive Team continues to push themselves to be ready for anything, anywhere. Their commitment ensures we are prepared to respond when it matters most.

We are proud of this team and the work they put in to protect our waterways and our community.
