The Night of Champions is upon us. I’d like to thank our race crew for working long hours after the crash at 99 Speedway on July 4th. After busting our butts and getting this race car back to peak performance, the 2021 Champions are ready to ride tonight.

Come on down to the The New Stockton 99 Speedway tonight and watch an exciting night of racing. Races start at 6:00 and gates open at 4:00.

Kids 12 and under are free!! So come on down, bring the kids, and root for Shafer Racing and that beautiful 21 car as we work to get back in that winners circle!!

Hi Shafer racing family! We have an update on Dave Bender. The surgery was a success!!!! He is now in recovery and in good spirits! Thank you all for your prayers and love. Some things in life go beyond racing and the love you all showed him and the collective prayers clearly did there work and as a team it is incredible to see the support youve shown. God bless you all! And to Dave, kick butt in recovery, and we will see you back at the track in no time!

Today is a scary day as our important crew member David Bender is currently in surgery having a life threatening tumor removed near his brain. Please take a moment to pray for him and his family during this very tough time. The rest of the Shafer racing team is sending all there love and support his way. We love you Dave.

Lord, please take Dave under your wing and see him through this time. Help guide these doctors working on him and all the staff around him. Please remove all of this tumor and allow him a full recovery. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Thanks for coming on down to the Asparagus Festival and checking out our race car as we get ready for the third race in our 2022 season. It is always a pleasure to get the kids out here and to sign autographs and take pictures from inside the car. The joy and happiness on the kids faces is what makes the Asparagus Festival so great and it was a privilege to be able to participate in this event. If you took any photos with Gary this weekend please feel free to post in the comment thread! Saturday May 21st@ 5pm is the next race for the late model division so come on down and enjoy an amazing night of racing as we look to remain unbeaten in a highly competitive field! Mission Accomplished!!!! You are looking at the 2021 Late Model Champions!! In an amazing final race, we stayed ahead of the other points leader Joey Stearns and took home the victory! Congrats on an amazing year for you guys! To all of our sponsors, thank you for giving us the chance to compete week in and week out. To our fans, thank you for being out there motivating our team to victory. A special thanks to the Gomes racing team for helping us get to the next level. And to each and everyone of the crew members, thank you for the time and effort you put in behind the scenes to make this race car go!
