I’ve been trying to come up with the right words to say about this for a few days now… and that’s why it took me a little while to post.

Last season didn’t go the way she wanted. A losing record. Not making it through regionals. But instead of letting that define her, she showed up. Every single day. Ready to put in the work.

This season definitely reflected that.

She showed resilience. She showed grit. She took every loss as a lesson and bounced back ready to learn the next day. And that work paid off.

From not making it out of regionals… to finishing Top 6 in the STATE!

Couldn’t be more proud of the growth, the toughness, and the mindset she brought to the mat all season. As a coach, you honestly can’t ask for more from your athletes.

This is what grit looks like. Congratulations Monalisa. Next year, it’s on. 💪

Meychelle Heisse has finished in the Top 10!

We truly could not be more proud of the growth this athlete has shown this year! She has hustled and put in the work this season and it SHOWS! ❤️❤️❤️

Edited to add for reference: last year, Meychelle had a 10-25 record. This year she’s finishing with 20 wins & only 9 losses! That transformation takes GRIT! 💪🏼💪🏼
