One of the best views on the trails at Saratoga National Historic Park! (In our opinion 🌱)

Not only do these trails offer a front-row seat to some incredible history, but they also overlook us! We take a lot of pride in being part of such a beautiful area where history, agriculture, and nature all come together. Everything is green, the fields are thriving, it’s hard to beat this view! Whether you’re visiting for the history, the scenery, or just some fresh air, we’re lucky to call this place home. 💚

The good news: it’s yours to keep! We’ve seen customers get creative by using them to haul leaves and yard debris, cover patio furniture, grills, and A/C units, or even store firewood. 🌿🔥

These next few days are bringing in some high temperatures! ☀
Sod is a living, perishable product, and we want to make sure your sod project is successful, especially during these hot days!
Here are a few tips and tricks to keeping your sod healthy! 🌱

If you absolutely cant install the same day you receive your order;
Get your sod in the shade!
Remove (at least) the top 3 rows AND unroll it (rolls heat from the inside).
DO NOT water sod while it is rolled up.

How to maintain sod post-installation;
Continue deep watering daily, for 2-3 weeks until rooted.
BEST time to water is in the morning!
Mow as needed, maintain at 3"

🌱 It’s that time of year again! 🌱

As temperatures warm up and your lawn kicks into high gear, you may start noticing tall stalks or seed heads popping up above the grass.

Don't panic, it's not a w**d, and it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your lawn! Seed heads are a completely natural part of the grass plant's life cycle and are especially common during late spring and early summer when grasses are actively growing.

While they can make your lawn look a little uneven, they're only temporary. A regular mowing will quickly remove the seed heads and help restore your lawn's uniform appearance.

☀️ So if you're seeing seed heads, consider it a sign that your grass is growing and doing what nature intended!

Here’s one from 2004 of our crew out in the early morning hours with big rolls at the Saratoga Race Course!

With this weekend marking the final Belmont Stakes at Saratoga Race Course, we couldn’t help but dig into the photo archives. It’s amazing to see how much has changed over the years, but one thing remains the same, the pride we take in helping create beautiful, durable turf for some truly iconic venues right here in our backyard.

The Belmont may be heading back home next year, but what a run it’s been for Saratoga! Here’s to the memories, the history, and another great weekend at the track. 🏇💚
