The conclusion of our first full year in 12 happened over the weekend. We would’ve liked to finish with a bang, but there is still a lot to be proud of. In the fall, we finished 10 games under .500 and for the spring, we came in at .500.

A few statistics from both seasons Fall/Spring:

Batting
BA - .296 /.359
OBP - .528/.584
Pitching and Fielding
ERA - 10.21/6.4
K - 96/190
K/L - 38/75
Fielding - .853/.845

Of course the sample size is larger from the spring season, but the improvement is evident!

One of our favorite stats that improved was from the fall, we had 4 girls under a .100 BA and 2 of those without a registered hit. In the spring, our lowest was a .184 and the rest of the team had a .245 or better. Everyone hit.

It’s no secret that we’ve focused more on the big picture and development over time, rather than trying to rush the process and make a big splash right now. We wanted to put together a roster of young ladies that we could keep together for the long run and build the culture around them. So, we are taking our time and celebrating the small victories, because the future is what we have our sights on.

Twisters (12u) will be looking to add a couple of girls for the fall season and beyond. All positions are open, utility players are a plus. 2013 birth year is preferred, but will consider 2014s.

⚠️🌪️Update and Tourney Schedule🌪️⚠️

Well, it’s that time again! Our next tournament is just days away, beginning Saturday in Chickasha!

⚠️🌪️Tournament Schedule Drop!🌪️⚠️

Welcome back to Twister Softball! It’s that time again, a new season is upon us and we have the first schedule to share with you all.

It’s been a long, but productive offseason. After missing out on our first scrimmage, due the wonderful Oklahoma weather, we were able to get one in last night with our good friends from Ok Pure 12u Gorton. Always a fun time! We got to see a lot of good things, also some things we need to clean up a little bit. But, it was nice to scratch that big softball itch!

This weekend we are at the Shamrock Smash in Perkins at the Iowa Tribe fields. Our pool game schedule on Saturday is as follows.

2:15p vs Lady Tornadoes
3:30p vs Pryme 12u
7:15p vs OK Select 12u
