Thank you to the over 500 athletes who participated in our combined Association Championships this past weekend. This was the first time in our history we had both our Junior Olympics and our Open/Masters Championships at the same location. It was great seeing all our members competing at the same time.

Important Announcment:
After discussion with our Games Committee, officials staff and meet staff, we have decided to add the 3000M run to our 6th All-Comers meets on 2/22. The updated schedule can be found on our website: minnesota.usatf.org.

Thank you for the 460+ athletes who compteted today! What a great meet.

Please note that for the 6th meet in 2 weeks that only Youth Girls PV will be held - that will be their Championship meet - YOU MUST BE A USATF MEMBER to compete in the Youth Indoor Girls PV portion of the meet. Registration for that part of the meet can be found here: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/623685

If you plan on doing another event during meet #6 you can sign up for it here: https://www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/meet/623683

Girls who are doing an open event and the PV will need to sign up and pay for both meets.

At the indoor championship meet (on March 8) the Open/Masters PV and Youth Boys PV will be contested only. (This will flip for 2027 when the Open/Masters PV and Girls Youth PV will be held on the championship date and the Boys Youth PV will be held during the meet before).

Please note that to compete in any of our championships you MUST BE A USATF Member.

Regarding our meet tomorrow (Sunday 1/18) - this email was sent to our Meet Manager/President in regards to saftey tomorrow:
In light of recent events, the University has established protocols in place to address any safety concerns, including coordination with UMPD if necessary. Our staff is aware of these procedures and prepared to respond and notify the appropriate personnel should the need arise. While we are not anticipating any issues, our goal is simply to ensure that all officials, participants, and attendees feel safe and supported in our facility. Let me know if you have any questions and have a good weekend!

Our President (Josh Ge**er) has this to say:
We are fully committed to hosting a positive and competive event at the University of Minnesota Field House. The saftey of our athletes, spectators, and officials is always our top priority. Working with our partners at the U of MN I am confident in the planning that we have for our meet tomorrow. Our meet will go on as scheduled unless the U of MN doesn't feel it's safe to do so.

TIME CHANGE: For our Indoor meet this Sunday 1/18/2026 - we are now starting at 12PM. The facility will open at 11am for athletes.

Please note there is no change to the order of events or the events offered.
