While we’re Sending It for T on the single track with Eastern Shore Composite Mountain Bike Club , Tyler’s love of life and his heart for helping others continue to inspire those around them.

The Top Knotch Marine family is honoring that spirit through a scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors.

To our own seniors, make sure you check this one out! 💙

And please help us spread the word by sharing this scholarship information with all the seniors you know!

As students across our community head back to the classroom and begin thinking about what comes next, we’re honored to officially announce something very special to us — the 𝗧𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘅 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.

Created in memory of Tyler and the way he lived his life, this scholarship will support a graduating high school senior pursuing their next chapter.

Tyler lived life wide open. He worked hard, showed up for others without hesitation, and brought an energy that made people want to be around him. Whether he was working hard at the boatyard, serving as a volunteer firefighter, tearing it up on two wheels, or answering the call to serve in the United States Air Force, Tyler gave everything he had. He was fearless, genuine, and, as anyone who knew him would tell you, one bad MF in all the best ways.

Each year, the Tyler Hendrix Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who reflects those same qualities: exceptional work ethic, dependability, courage, generosity, and a passion for living life to the fullest.

The $1,850 scholarship, awarded in honor of Tyler's motocross number, may be used to support the recipient's next step, including college or trade school tuition, apprenticeship programs, professional certifications, required tools and equipment for a skilled trade, or expenses associated with beginning a career in military service or as a firefighter or first responder.

This scholarship is offered by the Top Knotch Marine family in loving memory of Tyler and with our deepest gratitude for the time, heart, and dedication he gave to TKM. We had the privilege of watching Tyler grow up alongside our own son, and his parents have been among our closest friends for many years. Their family has meant more to us than words can express.

Through this scholarship, we hope Tyler's legacy continues to inspire others to work hard, serve others, live life wide open, and pursue their dreams with the same fearless spirit that defined his life. It is our way of honoring a remarkable young man who will forever remain part of the TKM family.

Applications open on January 4, Tyler's birthday.

Please help us spread the word to local students, families, teachers, counselors, and schools.
