CPM Race Week came to an end today with the EC12 regionals.
I want to extend my thanks to a few people that were instrumental in putting everything together to make it all happen.
Our host Rick Boulay and Cedar Point Marina, Scott Graf my right hand man with too many hats to mention putting this all together, RD supreme Judy Bonanno ( Head Chick in Charge) all week that kept us moving and getting races off, my daughter Nicole Ramos Meraz score keeper and all around helper, Steve McLaughlin - Mark/chase boat, set up and helping everywhere, Dom Bonanno and Eric Howell for pitching in everywhere needed without a moments hesitation.
Something like this cannot be put together without the efforts of a group of people like these and I am eternally grateful for their help. Thank you.

Congratulation to Danny Thomas for winning the R2 EC12 championship with a masterclass of sailing on the final day today in B rig conditions all day, followed by Jarl Whitney in 2nd and Mark Reinhart in 3rd.

CR-914 National Championship — October 9-11, 2026Hosted at Carol Williams Pond | Tulsa, OK

Whether you’re a seasoned skipper or just love sailing your CR-914 for fun, Nationals is your event. It’s not just a regatta — it’s a gathering of the class, a celebration of our shared passion for model yachting.

Here’s why you should make the trip:

- It’s not about winning. Nationals is about sailing together, learning, and sharing ideas with others who love the same boat you do.
- You’ll make new friends. The conversations, dock talk, and laughs off the water are as memorable as the races themselves.
- You’ll leave a better sailor. One weekend at Nationals equals months of experience — you’ll sail more races, in bigger fleets, and learn faster.
- Swap stories and tips. See the latest setups, get advice from top builders and sailmakers, and discover tricks you’ll take home to your club.
- Support the future of the class. The more sailors who attend, the stronger our community becomes.
And here’s what you’ll miss if you skip it:

- The joy of seeing 20+ CR-914s racing together — a sight you don’t forget.
- The chance to trade stories over dinner with sailors from all over the country.
- The opportunity to learn firsthand from some of the best skippers in the class.
- The memories you’ll wish you had made when you hear everyone else talking about it later!

Join us in Tulsa for a weekend of sailing, stories, and smiles.Pack your boat, bring your curiosity, and come be part of what makes the CR-914 class special.
