I don’t have a perfectly curated aesthetic life. I’m running a small business and raising humans—it’s full speed, all the time. But these 5 simple shifts? They moved the needle from “survival mode” to actually being apart of my life.
EAT WHAT YOU HAVE A HOME!!!-Most of the time, the ingredients in your pantry are fresher and healthier than anything coming out of a commercial kitchen. It takes discipline, but it saves mega bucks and keeps your body fueled the right way.
Water is life—don’t play! Trying to hit 100+ oz right out of the gate can feel overwhelming and lead to burn out and failed goals- By setting a manageable baseline of 32 oz it’s actually easy to keep going and crush that goal.
Most days I don’t have time for a 30-minute breathwork session, but I always have time to regulate my nervous system. It’s a physical signal to your body to step out of survival mode and back into the present.- thanks Selena for that golden minimum 💛
This has been my favorite change. When you’re a business owner, the cycle never stops. Giving 30 screen-free minutes to my kids is my minimum, and honestly, it usually leads to more. Everyone ends up feeling more connected and way less stressed. I’ve loved having a reminder that I’m not just providing for my kids- I’m in it with them! With my oldest turning 18 in October-I am soaking in all the time I can. 🫠
It’s been said before and it’s easy to overlook - Fresh air is the ultimate reset button. Whether it’s a quick walk, sitting on the porch, or just standing in the grass. When in doubt go outside!
