Join the Stevens Point Judo Club in partnership with Children’s Discovery Center for a FREE 90-minute Self-Defense Clinic on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:00–7:30 PM.

Participants ages 12+ will learn the following with guidance from experienced instructors Betsy Gauthier-Koth and Nicole Weidner:
• Safe falling techniques
• Escapes from common grabs and chokes
• A basic Judo throw

Our judo winter semester is in session! Tuesdays for adults at UWSP from 6:30 to 8:30 for the first two Tuesdays, and then 6:00 to 8:00 after that. Adults and kids 7 and up are at PJ Jacobs from 6:00 to 8:00. Message me to try a free class!

Judo is the perfect sport for exercise, self-confidence, and flexibility. If you're interested in these skills, message me to sign up to try a class with the Stevens Point Judo Club. Tuesday evenings (adults only) and Thursday evenings for both children 7+ and adults.

Stevens Point Judo club apparel online store is LIVE! All club members will be emailed a link to the online store, and we will also have hard copies of the store items available to those who would like them--however, all purchases must be done online. Store is open until October 19th! All apparel will be mailed to one place, and will be handed out in class 4-6 weeks after the store closes. Get shopping :)

A few well deserved promotions tonight. Some of these were twenty years in the making. Persistence, determination and dedication were key factors in all of tonight's promotions. Nicole Weidner was promoted to Ikkyu, and Jim Hafferman and Ken Camlek were promoted to Sandan. Congratulations to all!
