The last day in Greensboro was a day to celebrate. We celebrated Jacob and Bella’s 18th birthday! We celebrated Klare swimming in her fourth A final of the meet, capturing 8th in the 100 freestyle. We celebrated the last races at Y Nationals for our Seniors. The group represented our team, our Y and the Stevens Point community so well this week. We could not be more proud.

It was top-down weather in North Carolina today (sorry everyone back home). SPDY had a great day in the pool. The girls 400 medley took 21st place. Eli survived the 200 fly with a new best time. Henry swam his final SPDY races going out in style in the 50 and 100 free. Kate made her first Y National Final in the 50 free. Klare took home second place in the 200 IM, with a new team record. One more day left!

Today we honored our Seniors competing at their final Y Nationals. Congratulations Henry, Jacob, Bella, Claire and Klare. You all have meant so much to this team and we are so proud.

We ended the day at Finals with the second podium swim of the meet for Klare, who took 4th place in the 100 backstroke! Congratulations Klare!

It’s been a wonderful first few days in Greensboro with the National Team. Yesterday was the 200 medley relays, which did so well, and our team dinner. Today was the first full day of racing. We had some great races with some lifetime and season best swims. It was parade day with the theme being “Movies”. SPDY represented as Toy Story characters. The day was capped off with an incredible second place finish in the 200 backstroke by Klare Pilger!
