I just finished setting up for a gun and knife show at The Oakland Expo Center in Waterford. The show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. It’s by the same organizers who run the Macomb County Gun Show at the old Lakeside Mall location. I hope to see lots of this page’s followers at the show this weekend.

Here’s a list of the upcoming Michigan gun shows being offered by the promoters of the very successful Macomb Gun Show. Please attend and bring someone else with you. Help keep gun shows a vibrant activity in our state.

I’ll be selling at the Waterford, Mount Morris, and Sterling Heights shows and hope to see a lot of this page’s followers at those events.

I participated in yet another successful Macomb Gun Show in the old Sears store at the now closed Lakeside Mall this past weekend. Attendance was very heavy both days despite the cold weather. It was so busy that I actually achieved over twice my projected profit for the event. If you’re in the area and not attending these shows you need to go to them. You also need to bring someone with you (if they’re new to the hobby that’s even better). These shows are a much-needed means to revive an ailing gun show presence in Michigan and everyone involved in the shooting lifestyle should do everything they can to help them grow. The same applies to the other shows these promoters (ambitious young guys, I might add) operate.

To provide a concise after-action review of last weekend’s Macomb Gun Show, customer turnout appeared to be substantial (at least from my vantage point) and I exceeded my sales target/projection. So overall, I’m going to rate this third rendition of the new (and much needed) local show as a success and I plan on doing the upcoming Birch Run show in December and any other shows the promoters see fit to put on.

Minuteman Tactical Outfitters will once again be selling at the Macomb Gun Show this weekend (October 19th and 20th) at the old Sears location at Lakeside Mall. Show hours are 9 to 5 on Saturday and 9 to 3 on Sunday.

While I can’t speak for other dealers who participated at the Macomb Gun Show on Saturday and Sunday, I had a good experience there. My total sales were more than acceptable and I will likely have more resulting from customers I dealt with at the show. A lot of people attended but I don’t know the hard numbers. The only downside I saw was that the climate control in the building had a hard time keeping up with the heat and number of people inside. Overall, I thought it was an excellent gun show and will be returning for the next Macomb Gun Show in October.

I just finished setting up my tables for the Macomb Gun Show happening this weekend. The entire upper level of the old Sears store at Lakeside Mall is filled with tables. This show looks like it’s going to be huge.
