One run. One moment. One heartbreaking finish. 💔

Cricket can be unbelievably cruel.
Chasing 127, we fought until the very last ball and fell just 1 run short, with the match ending in a dramatic Mankad dismissal.
This wasn't the result we wanted, but the fight shown by the boys deserves immense credit.
A special mention to the partnerships that kept us alive throughout the chase. Sharuk & Rony steadied the innings when we needed it most. Sharuk & Mehedi built another crucial stand to keep the scoreboard moving. Then Mehedi & Shayon carried the momentum and brought us within touching distance of victory. Those small but incredibly important partnerships kept us believing until the very end.
Unfortunately, luck just wasn't on our side.
Credit to our bowlers as well for setting up the game by restricting Warren Flames CC to 126/7, with Sarwar (2/13), Munna (1/17) leading the attack.
It's a tough one to take, but this team showed resilience, character, and the fighting spirit that defines the Michigan Bengals. We'll learn from this, come back stronger, and be ready for the next challenge.

After restricting the opposition to just 87/9, our batters made light work of the chase, reaching the target in only 10 overs.

It’s always tough to swallow the first loss of the season, especially when the boys fought hard right down to the final over.
Batting first, we managed to put up 138/9 in our 20 overs, thanks to a solid 42 from Hamidur R and a crucial 23 from Shafiur R.
We threw everything we had at them in the second half. RonyBeen H picked up 2 wickets, while Saifur S (1/13) and Shayon M (1/20) bowled brilliantly to keep us in the game. Unfortunately, Metro Detroit CC managed to cross the line with just 5 balls to spare, winning by 4 wickets.
An upsetting result, but it’s a long season ahead. We dust ourselves off, learn from the mistakes, and come back stronger next game! 🐅💪
